Brazil Proposes Amendments to the Cosmetics Bill to Strengthen the Ban of Animal Testing on New and Existing Cosmetics Ingredients
The cosmetics bill was adopted in June of this year and proposed a ban on animal tests for ingredients and finished cosmetic products when alternative testing methods are available. The amendments proposed to the bill include adding a deadline that three years after its publication no animal testing of cosmetics ingredients or the sale of cosmetics that used new animal testing will be permitted. A date for the vote on these amendments has not been determined. Please read the full article on the Chemical Watch website above for more information.
